inI spent 6 months trying to build a perfect morning routine before a single 5am alarm going off showed me the flaw.
Totally stealing that idea. The whole 5 a.m. thing just makes me feel guilty before I even start. But 15 minutes to read a book with my coffee, that actually happens. Did it this morning with a novel I keep ignoring. Felt like a tiny win instead of another failed plan.

inShoutout to the old timer who told me to always use a torque wrench on main lugs
My cousin works at a plant and they lost a whole shift over a faulty sensor last month. These little tech hiccups add up to insane money everywhere.

inShoutout to the guy who told me 'pockets ruin the line' of a dress
That guy's take is so tired. Just tell him to look up Claire McCardell's work, she solved that problem like 80 years ago.

inPSA: I just read that the first ASME boiler code was written in 1914, after a massive boiler explosion in a shoe factory killed 58 people.
Right there with you, @jennifer358. I used to rush through everything trying to be the fastest. Now I'm just happy if I finish without spilling my coffee on the keyboard. Speed is great until you realize you have to go back and fix all the mistakes you made in a hurry. Maybe getting older just means you finally see the value in not tripping over your own feet.

inThe best mud pan I ever used was a cheap one from a yard sale
Wasn't it weird to buy used cookware? I always wanted new stuff until I grabbed a cast iron skillet for a few bucks. That thing cooks better than anything I've ever bought in a store. What's the best thing you've found secondhand?
