inI was at the bank in Denver to get a car loan and the loan officer said something that really surprised me
That whole "knock points off your score" thing seems overblown. A single closed account, especially a tiny one, is not a disaster. Your score might dip a few points for a month, maybe. But if your main cards are in good shape, it will bounce back fast. People stress way too much about tiny credit score moves.

inI just found out the original title for 'The Great Gatsby' was way different
Makes me notice how many everyday things have hidden layers like that. I saw a documentary about how common brand logos have little symbols in them you never spot unless someone points it out. It changes how you walk through a grocery store. Guess we're surrounded by these quiet little decisions that shape how we see stuff.

inAppreciation post: I finally got a proper hot air station after using a cheap heat gun for a decade, and the difference in my microsoldering success rate went from maybe 50% to like 95% overnight.
Come on, that's just gear snobbery. I've seen people do amazing work with those cheap heat guns if you actually learn to use them right. Maybe @jakegarcia just needed more practice, not a new toy.

Yeah, that "weird, smelly paste" is the worst, I've been there.
